Entr'acte
La mer qu'on voit danser le long des golfes clairs,

elle attend son accordéoniste au coin d'la rue Labat.


Il sentait bon le sable chaud,

L'autre jour, il m'est arrivé un coup fumant. Je me promenais sur le boulevard des Capucines. Soudain, j'aperçois quelque chose qui trainait par terre. Intriguée, je me baisse et ramasse l'objet en question. C'était un ticket de métro. Quelle aventure fantastique!




La cigale ayant chanté tout l'été se désaltérait dans le courant d'une onde pure.
Gardez-vous bien, lui dit le corbeau, de nuire à cette emprunteuse qui cira haro sur le baudet, car, qui veut voyager loin ménage sa monture et sa bonté s'étend sur toute la nature.

Hammerfall a été crée en 1993 par Oscar Dronjak (guitar) et Jesper Strömblad (drums). Les deux compères engagent Niklas Sundin (guitar), Mikael Stanne (vocals) et Johan Larsson (bass). Le but d'Hammerfall était alors de regrouper ces musiciens tous les ans pour participer à une compétition musicale nommée Rockslaget. Après quelque temps, Niklas et Johan sont remplacés par Glenn Ljungström et Fredrik Larsson.
En 1996, alors qu'Hammerfall arrive en demi-finale de Rockslaget, Mikael Stanne rejoint son groupe Dark Tranquillity pour une tournée. Il est alors remplacé par Joacim Cans (vocals). Même s'ils n'ont pu arriver en finale de cette compétition, ils sont tout de même remarqués par une maison de disques, qui leur propose d'enregistrer leur premier album : Glory To The Brave, qui sort en 1997. Il faut alors se concentrer à 100% sur Hammerfall, et c'est pourquoi Jesper et Glenn décident de quitter le groupe. Ils sont remplacés par Patrik Räfling (drums) et Stefan Elmgren (guitar).
Pour préparer leur prochain album, une vidéo est produite avec la promotion d'un maxi-CD Glory To The Brave. A ce moment là, Magnus Rosén (bass) rejoint Hammerfall.
Enfin, en novembre 1998 sort leur deuxième album : Legacy Of Kings. Après cet album, Patrik Räfling préfère quitter le groupe. Il est remplacé par Anders Johansson (drums), qui est le frère de Jens (Stratovarius), et a notamment joué pour Yngwie Malmsteen dans son projet Rising Force.
